Creating sustainable solutions by working with local communities
One quality unifies all of Pro Peninsula�s initiatives: each is carried out at the community level, by community members, with the fundamental objective of involving communities in long-term environmental conservation. Local communities depend on natural resources for their economic livelihood, the health of their families, and their cultural identity. The sustainable use of natural resources is crucial for their future survival�as well as the survival of native species. Ultimately, the protection of critical native habitats is in the hands of local community members.
Pro Peninsula works at the grassroots level to accomplish two environmental goals:
-Protect and restore ecological resources, focusing on essential ecosystems, endangered species, and water quality.
- Promote the responsible use and stewardship of natural resources.
