Pro Peninsula strives to “leave something behind” in the areas where we work. Working at the community level, we accomplish our organizational goals through four principle initiatives:

• Capacity Building and Institutional Development
• Sustainable Alternatives
• Ocean Connectors Education Program

A key factor to Pro Peninsula’s success is our ability to create projects that meet each community’s economic, social and cultural needs. We are uniquely qualified to undertake these initiatives due to our intimate knowledge of regional issues, the relationships we have established with local communities, and a successful track record of support grassroots conservation efforts.

	Sea Turtle Conservation Forming a network dedicated to the protection of sea turtles We empower individuals and communities to conserve sea turtles by building a strong conservation network, expanding knowledge and developing innovative solutions and sharing our conservation message widely.
	Capacity Building & Institutional Development Promoting Locally Based Conservation Initiatives We help build strong local organizations vital to preserving habitat, sustainably managing natural resources, and creating a culture of conservation.
	Sustainable Alernatives Sustainable Development Alternatives Pro Peninsula cultivates locally based, conservation focused tourism efforts along the Baja California peninsula.
	Ocean Connectors Education Program Creating Awareness and Stewardship We cross borders to create links and a shared sense of stewardship between students in San Diego and Mexico, focusing on low-income schools.
