Pro Peninsula works with many people in the U.S. and Mexico who support our work and would love to become more personally involved. If you would like to join these people, here's your chance! We have ongoing volunteer opportunities ranging from representing Pro Peninsula at informational booths, office help, event planning, assisting with environmental education, material development, and more! If you would like to learn more about these opportunities, or if you are interested in becoming a Pro Peninsula volunteer, please email Daniel at daniel@propeninsula.org. In your email, please specify what your interests are and which Pro Peninsula projects you would like to get involved in.
Ocean Connectors -- ongoing, San Diego, California. This unique education program teaches area bilingual and multicultural students about the endangered green sea turtles in South San Diego Bay, and their migration to islands off Michoacan, Mexico to nest. If you're interested in volunteering for the program, please contact Frances at frances@propeninsula.org. All of the students letters have been written and exchanged - this spring the San Diego students will be able to read the return letters from the Mexican students at a classroom celebration.
